Sympathise with Beggars.. NOTI am going to like blog about my recent encounter with beggars in Singapore, seriously they think they can like act but in actual fact, they friggin can't.
So anyway, what I am trying to say is..
DON'T ever ever listen to what fuck they are saying. (:
So, I shall start my story proper...
Marian darling & I was like lepak-ing around Bedok after school. Then, we were sitting down drinking some stuff and this really decent-looking woman came to approach us holding some Metro plastic bag. Then she went on & on about how charitable she was. I show you a part of our conservation (or rather most of the conversation).
Her : Excuse me, you guys from Tampines Sec one is it?
Me : No, from TJC.
Her : Not from Tampines Sec one meh? Or pasir ris one?
Me : *cursing and swearing to myself.* Tmd, Tjc become tampines sec, she colour
blind one leh.
Her : You know ah, my friend's grandmother... blahblah.. recession, shop close down, blahblahblah. Then I am being charitable come here and help her sell her leftover stocks lah. You know leftover stocks also no usesit there collect dust only. So come here to sell lah. Right?
Marian : Oh so what you selling? Can let us see some of your products or not?
Her : Oh we selling cute cute pouches lah, for young girls like you.
Marian : *rolls eyes* Can you just show us some samples?
Her : Don't worry, very cheap one. Just now those few school girls bought from me.
Some around $5 to $8 like that.
And then, she took out one pathetic blue frame & said it was $5, and this pathetic pouch that I can't even stuff my 50 cents inside and said it was $8 ._.
She thinks we were born yesterday or something. Marian & I were like staring at each other, shocked lah. Don't know what to say. Those things really look like she stole them or something, or selling to us second hand goods. Plus, when she was taking out from her bag, her hand was shaking, then she only show us like half of it, like don't dare to show us.
Her : Don't worry, really very cheap one. Usual price $9.20, then I give you guys $8.
Me : Nah, I don't think I want.
Marian : Yeah, we don't really need these things right now. Thanks.
Her : Then you can buy as Mother's Day present? Mother's Day now what right?
Marian : We already bought for our Mothers. Mother's Day over already.
Her : Oh, then what about your friend's bday or teacher's day? Sure will give them
present right? Then you can buy this for them, I am sure they will like it.
Me : Our friends' birthdays are over already and some of their bdays not yet.
Her : Then buy these for them lah.
Marian : *pissed off look* We already make card for them, and bought the presents.
No thanks.
Her : Make card only meh? How can?
Me : WE FUCKING BOUGHT THE PRESENT LAH.
And the conversation ended, with her and her black face, walking to another group of students to try and cheat them. Seriously, I would have just called the police or just chase her away. But she was dressed decently, her spectacles Bonia one somemore, and you guys should know Bonia is some Italy brand, super expensive one. Then Marian said to me, want buy present also buy others lah, buy her stupid ugly present, wtf. hahahahahhah!
And then, we sat there awhile, observe how she cheat other students (she only approach students lor! ), then half the time she never even take out her sample pouches, keep talking non stop like no tmrw, and the students stupid enough, never ask her to take out let them see see first.
Lesson learnt.
Never trust beggars. Nowadays beggars no longer wear rags & look like shit, they can even afford nice bags & nice shoes one you know. Some of them even can wear jewellery (gold somemore!). And they usually approach young people like us, thinking that we were born yesterday. Honestly.
I used to sympathise with these beggars, but not anymore.
Maybe I will occasionally drop a coin for those REALLY disabled ppl sitting on the streets busking or selling tissue, but those with hands & legs, please fucking get a proper job.
Gosh, I was so damn pissed over this.
