after all the countless rehearsals and all the countless practices. finally the day has come. i was so exhausted during the preparation for speech day till i fell sick. i was coughing non stop and once,i even lost my voice.thankfully, some one must have been praying for me. i got my voice back on the day itself too!! then, i had fever like ytd night. slight. and was really really tired and lethargic and afraid i couldnt make it today. dad was like asking me not to go and he even wanted to write a letter. like hello?how do u write a letter to excuse yrself from A PERFORMANCE?!?!i had to beg him to bring me to sch today.
i arrived in sch like 8.20 and saw yingting walking towards sch carrying this big bag full of hangers and photo frames. surprisingly,i was allowed to go and i was coughing non stop and my nose keeps running. irritating, i admit. that sickening weihan (hehs) wore the white blouse with her black skirt and slippers to sch. WOMAN.DIDNT U LIKE CHECK THE NOTICE BOARD?? then she called her mom to bring her sch stuff. sheesh. everyone was super nervous and busy preparing themselves. i was the most nervous. i tell u. i had to struggle with 8 bells!!sheesh. and sofia was there, supporting me! melo and weiling too. woots!>.<
we all changed to our white blouses and put on the scarfs. i was really lethargic and tired in the morning but suddenly i turned hyper.weird. then we practiced setting up and packing like twice? as well as practicing for the last time. there were quite a no of mistakes and i started panicking. shit shit. then, mrs ong ask her to put on lipstick and stuff to make ourselves look better. everyone put on lip gloss which is practically non existent, so is mine. except some who has REALLY REALLY RED LIPS. smooch!haha.
we oso practiced outside the hall without the bells. I TELL U.SO FUNNI.we pretended to play and everything was like miming.hehs.
then, mrs wu asked us to the handbell things backstage. so we lugged all the heavy boxes, tables and stands and mattresses there. sheesh. my hand hurts. and i had to tidy my scarf and hand. had to pin it.look so toot can. then the time suddenly pass so fast. the tldds and the choir had their performance. we were so busy setting up cuz there was a time limit. ms susan leong was there!!i totally miss her. i miss her constant nagging.i want her to come back!!!-_- then, the mcee introduced us and i had to smile all the way. i couldnt cuz i was searching for sofia in the crowd.i was so nervous my knees were shaking. and as the curtains drew slowly away, i was holding aruna's hand, squeezing it tight.i was anxious.
then mrs aw gave her starting cue and then, the song started. i was trying not to look down at the audience and concentrating on mrs aw and the score. i was juggling between the bells and yes,i was super busy. i saw yanyi and yuan li in the crowd,smiling at us. hehs. when we played john williams,the audience laughed ok. maybe they were familiar with the tune but at least we entertain them.we also swayed to the seven bridges song. i am satisfied with the performance. seriously. weiling said i was so pro, juggling and struggling with so many bells. she said coolios. I LOVE YOU!!>.<>
then within like 10 mins,everything was over.i was so relieved. and carry the tables back to as2. i am so happy that after all these efforts to make things right,nothing really went wrong except slight stuff like coming in early and stuff like that. hehs. mrs aw didnt say much. i think we did well. yanyi and yuan li and some ppl cheered for us. =)
sheesh.i am tired and exhausted already.despite being sick, i had to endure. i broke down today.oh wells. i deserve a pat. i think. there's another cip performance coming up. and i have to paint two hangers and a photo frame. i just munched on chocolate.OOPS. hehs.
